Note: If used with a crate engine having
a roller cam or with an aftermarket billet roller cam, consult the manufacturer
for drive gear requirements.
The HEI distributors are larger in diameter
than points distributors. You must have about 1.5" clearance around your points
distributor to avoid an interference when installing a PerTronix HEI distributor.
The PerTronix HEI distributor
can be used as a replacement for factory HEI units with 4 pin modules only. It
cannot be used in fuel injected engines that originally came with 7 pin modules.
Suppression-type spark plug wires required. Do not use solid core wires.
